In this second episode I talk with Maryna, one of the co-founder of REA! Art Fair in Milan. We discuss why REA is different from other art fairs, the opportunities for emerging artists and how to participate. We also reflect on the first edition last October, what went well and some tips for artists to have the best chances to be included in this year's second edition.

Marine takes us on a journey back to 2015 when she founded MTArt agency and how this new model has thrived during the past few years, especially in 2020. Marine also discusses the fine balance for artists between commercial success, through the right brand partnerships, and artistic integrity. Finally we reflect on the MTAgency motto 'We don't invest in Art, we invest in artists' and what makes an artist an invaluable asset.

THE POWER OF NETWORKING WITH KATRINA ALEKSA RYEMILL

I talk remotely with Katrina Aleksa Ryemill, an art professional and also one of the founders of AWITA, the Association of Women in the Arts - founded with the ambition of providing a networking and mentorship platform for women working in the arts. Katrina reflects on the last year when all the networking events have moved online and how this has actually grown the AWITA international community very quickly. Katrina also explains the best strategies to network online and offline with general tips on how to create meaningful connections.

MONEY MATTERS WITH VIC MIHATOVIC

In this episode I meet with multinational artist Vic Mihatovic in person Vic reflects on her path as an artist living in the US and moving to London with the purpose of attending the prestigious Royal College of Art. We also talk about the relationship between artist & money. Vic starts addressing the myth of the starving artist and how a positive attitude is so important in most cases. Finally, Vic talks about her experience as a Finance Manager for the artist formed group Random International.

ART ENTREPRENEURSHIP WITH ADELE SMEJKAL

I meet for this episode art entrepreneur Adele Smejkal, founder of Artistellar, a new concept of curated online gallery founded in 2020 to bridge the gap between the brick and mortar gallery and e-commerce. Adele talks about the challenges she faced during the first year in business and also what worked well. Adele also reflects on best tips for collecting emerging artists and finding her unique voice in the crowded online gallery space. In 2020, Adele also started a successful campaign ‘Saving Emerging Art’ to support impacted emerging artists, galleries and curators.

STREET ART WITH REMI ROUGH

In this episode I meet with renowned artist Remi Rough. Remi takes us on a journey back to when he started working as a graffiti writer back in the 80’s and how his career & style of painting evolved into abstraction. Remi talks also about brand collaborations, public art and his upcoming show in London ‘In Real Life’, opening on 21st May.

I had the pleasure to meet in the studio Kamiar Maleki: art collector, patron, curator & director of Volta Art Fairs.

Kamiar talks about his experience as an art collector and also the new initiatives he is working on for the next edition of Volta Art Fairs in Basel this September. Kamiar also reflected on his past project as a curator of #hashtagabstract, the first exhibition about the way we look at & collect art on Instagram. Kamiar also discusses his most recent project, Present the Future, the first NFT focused Art Residency in the South of France, opening in June 2021.

In this last episode, I reflect on the past episodes with SKT co-founder Bri, and the path that brought us together to create this podcast.
